Input Output Bus

Input/Output refers to the communication and acquisition of data between your automation system, and the outside world (possibly a human, or another information processing system). Inputs are the signals or data received by the automation system, and outputs are the signals or data sent from it. Automation systems built with KAS are interrupt-driven. Typical interrupt uses include the following: system timers, disks I/O, power-off signals, and exceptions handling.

I/O modules provide a convenient modular package which is simple to wire and add or change slice types.
